Hi!
I'm about to launch my game and I'd like to see what you guys do to launch a game, or you just publish it on google play?
If your game has ads, it's supposed that you want to earn some money, so you should do some marketing to get many users.
My idea:
Do a good game with nice graphics, fun and with no bugs. <------ I'm trying to do this right now
Do some ASO when publishing, like kewords in the description and in the title. Designing a good icon a some nice screenshots <----- Hiring somebody at fiverr for this

Promote in facebook groups, forums... <------ This is free
Send your game to websites <------ This is free too
Exchange reviews with other developers <------ This is also free, there are groups and forums for that
Using some paid advertisement <------ This isn't
About paid advertisement, it's used only in the first stages to let the game get some traction before getting organic downloads. There incentiviced vs non incentiviced campaigns.
I'm not sure about incentiviced installs. You can buy 1K downloads for 100$, wictch can look cheap, but you'll have the same uninstalls in a few days. And the install can come even from bots, and Google may not like it... The idea is to have a lot of installs in a short period to get ranked and listed in some category in google play so that organic installs may come. People is using app2top a lot for this (no real users) or ayetstudios (real users here, but they install your game to get some money)
Non incentiviced are more expensive, but the user downloads your game because he likes it. Appbrain looks interesting here, because you pay for install only.
So... what do you think? have you done this before? some stories to share?
